Lorenzo Malfatti
Lorenzo is a painter and a sculptor. His work is inspired by a personal trajectory and a sensibility that led him to favor intuition over traditional plastic references. In his restless relation with matter and light, Lorenzo studied and experimented with the effects of glass, cotton yarns, paint and a multitude of other materials. “..Transparencies and reflexes (beams of light?) became my color palette: an uncontrollable multitude of chromatic effects that can be harnessed, a crystallized fluid (glass), pulsing with energy, that captivates light only to free it again, fragmented in a multitude of stories to be reinvented; I never attempted to describe what is visible. I rather evoke what is invisible: the hidden aspects that reside in the most profound depth of our soul..”
